Google Pixel 5a 5G is now official! The tech giant has also confirmed the two flagship Pixel phones, the Google Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro.

According to some sources, the Google Pixel 5a 5G could be the last Pixel handset powered by a Qualcomm chipset.

Display details

The Google Pixel 5a 5G flaunts a 6.34-inch OLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a sleek punch-hole cutout on the top left corner.

The display is also shielded by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Hardware and software specs

Under the hood, the new Pixel phone draws its power from a Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 765G chipset, which has an octa-core CPU with Adreno 620 GPU and 2.4GHz.

Other configurations include 6GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage with nano-SIM and an e-SIM slot.

Google Pixel 5a 5G will ship with Android 11 OS out-of-the-box. The company confirmed that the phone would be one of the first smartphones to receive Android 12.

Coming to camera specs and features, the phone sports a 12.2MP wide-angle shooter and a 16MP ultra-wide angle lens.

Upfront, there is a shooter of 8MP.

Battery capacity

A battery of 4,260mAh with 18W fast charging via the USB Type-C port. The smartphone doesn’t support wireless charging.

Other features

Google Pixel 5a 5G also comes with a sleek stereo speaker setup, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and IP67 certified for water and dust resistance.

Overall, the Google Pixel 5a 5G seems like a great mid-tier phone, though it is almost similar to its predecessor.

Google Pixel 5a 5G Price Tag and Availability

Google Pixel 5a 5G will be available for $449 in the US and Japan from August 26. More details about the smartphone’s availability in other countries are still scarce.
