Get Ready to Use the Grappling Hook in Fortnite

Let’s admit it: the map in Fortnite is huge. Going from one edge to another isn’t actually child’s play, which is why a grappling hook might provide a lot of help. The guys from Epic Games seem to have thought about it.

It’s been about a week since Chapter 3 of Season 3 in Fortnite started, giving the developers the opportunity to improve the game once again. The first patch of the upgrade adds the much-needed grappling hook for the players to enjoy, which can also be called a grappling glove. Epic Games’ official page tells us all we need to know about the addition. The same source explains how the tool works in the game:

To begin swinging, shoot its grappling hook at a hard surface like a cliff, prop, or building. Each successive swing gets faster until the third swing and beyond, when you’ll be at max speed.

If you miss a shot and land on the ground, you’ll have a brief window of time to shoot the grappling hook and come back swinging. You’ll have an even longer window if you slide out of a swing, so don’t be afraid to combo some slides into your swinging action! But don’t worry if the window of time runs out: after a brief cooldown, the Grapple Glove will ready itself back up.

Chapter 3 of Season 3 also brings a nice selection of weapons in Fortnite, and perhaps not all of them had been revealed yet. Therefore, the only way to find out is to hop into the game ASAP and start competing against your friends! And if you don’t have any friends, you’ll surely make some while playing the famous battle royale, as it has about 350 million players worldwide!

Fortnite remains available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Windows PC, Android, iOS, and more.
