Fortnite Overshields: How to Use the New Feature in Season 2

Source: Epic Games

Even if Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 removed the building mechanic, we still have more looking forward.

If you wonder what Overshields are and how to make use of the feature, we’ve got your back! The new major addition in the battle royale is quite essential, and this is why.

Here is what you need to know.

What is The Overshield, and How Does It Work?

The Overshield is a brand-new feature in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 that grants all players an extra 50 % shield right at the moment a match starts. How cool is that?

The new feature also creates quite the plot in which you can have up to 250 mixed health and shield as the game goes forward. Thinking at this, well, maybe we should reconsider the fact that Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 removed the building mechanic.

Another cool thing about the Overshield feature is that it doesn’t take damage from the storm, which is incredible!

However, as great as that could be, you’ll still take damage to your health, but only if you’re stuck in the purple haze.

Also, the Overshield works similar to the game’s regular shield, so you don’t have to stress about it.

Can the Overshield Be Refilled?

The brand-new Overshield feature is pretty impressive, but it has its cons. Unfortunately, you can’t find anything within the game to refill the Overshield, which is quite a shame considering its power, right?

But why can’t you do that?

That happens for a reason, and that’s because your shield is naturally recharging when you’re not in Fortnite warfare or something like that for at least 5-10 seconds. Well, just try not to be disappointed a lot, ok?

On the other hand, you can totally manage to avoid a tough battle in your match plan in the future.
