Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 is almost here, and we couldn’t be more excited!
Season 2 of Fortnite is expected to come with tons of gameplay changes and some of the coolest skins and cosmetics. The patch update is now available, so make sure you check everything out.
When will Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 start?
Even if we don’t have a live event, there will be plenty to look forward to in the new update.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2: Server Downtime Details
The downtime for the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 is scheduled for March 20 at 12 PM PT/ 3 AM ET/ 8 AM GMT. The matchmaking was confirmed to go off around 30 minutes before.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2: Season Theme
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 is almost here, and the theme is RESISTANCE, something based on the pre-season trailer, an epic battle between the Seven and the IO. How cool is that?
This time around, Epic has let players guess what’s next in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2, making everything even more interesting. Additionally, Dr. Strange will join the Seven and take on the IO and Dr. Slone. The devs didn’t reveal more details, but the Resistance will definitely be very exciting!
Other characters include The Origin, the Prowler, Gunnar, and many others that’ll soon be available in the Chapter 3 Season 2 Battle Pass.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2: New In-game Mechanics
The Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 comes with some sleek in-game mechanics that most players had asked for quite a long time.

- Wall Climbing
- Tactical Sprinting
- Mantle to grab onto ledges and pull themselves up
- Proximity Chat in Fortnite Creative
- Parkour
- Overshield to grant extra protection against incoming damage

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2: XP Beyond Battle Royale
From now on, the Battle Royale will not be the only way to earn XP! How great is that?
Fortnite Creators incorporates and adds different rewards on custom maps in the Creative mode so that you’ll be able to play various games in Fortnite and earn a great deal of XP, too!
All Battle, No Building
As curious as it can be, the No Building LTM is now a thing in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2!
The new LTM allows players to upgrade their gunplay skills by having them engaged in tense box fights.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2: Bug Fixes
We’re also getting some much-needed bug fixes, as seen on the official Fortnite Trello board:
- Using the Performance Mode might display the tree leaves at a lower resolution; setting View Distance to Epic will fix that;
- The Discover menu UI is sometimes unresponsive while using a controller; it can be fixed by exiting and re-entering the switching tabs or the Discovery menu with the shoulder buttons;
- The key got stuck when continuously holding it while building and double-tapping it; it can be fixed by opening the inventory or performing an emote;
- Being one quest short of completing a Season Bonus Goals Milestone is no longer a problem; more challenges will be soon available!
