For Honor: Best Warriors Tier List

Credit: Ubisoft

French developer Ubisoft did pretty impressive work with the release of For Honor, an intense and compelling game where the action is set on a medieval battlefield. Released five years ago, For Honor is purchasable via Steam for its starter edition for just 14.99 euros.

Thanks to Gaming Gorilla, we can learn a lot more about the fighters in For Honor. You can certainly improve your skills in the game by choosing your characters wisely, but you should be aware that each fighter is unique in his own way.

Let’s cut to the chase:

S-Tier

Whether you want to dominate your adversary or be almost immune to his attacks, you should definitely choose the characters from the S-Tier. These folks don’t forgive and don’t forget, and our guess is that they aren’t fans of giving flowers to girls, either. Behold:

  • Warmonger – Vanguard
  • Warlord – Heavy
  • Shinobi – Assassin
  • Nobushi – Hybrid
  • Conqueror – Heavy
  • Kyoshin – Hybrid
  • Jiang Jun – Heavy

A-Tier

You can hardly tell the difference between characters from the A-Tier and those from the S-Tier. If you’re a skilled player and paying attention enough, it’s not impossible at all to win against an S-Tier character using one from the A-Tier.

Playing by using an A-Tier character is certainly an option for the big boys, so here’s who you can choose to solve your problems:

  • Kensei – Vanguard
  • Shugoki – Heavy
  • Nuxia – Assassin
  • Shaolin – Hybrid
  • Hitokiri – Heavy
  • Black Prior – Heavy
  • Berserker – Assassin

B-Tier

Time to move on to the B-Tier, the place where things still remain interesting. The guys of this tier also don’t share the taste for forgiveness, so fighting against them can rapidly prove to be a big mistake.

It’s still highly probable that you can win a fight with a B-Tier warrior, so don’t hesitate to use him if you want to put your skills to the test a bit more:

  • Jormungandr – Heavy
  • Highlander – Hybrid
  • Zhanhu – Assassin
  • Shaman – Assassin
  • Gryphon – Hybrid
  • Raider – Vanguard

C-Tier

This is the area where you can easily consider the warriors to be clearly weaker than the rest. That means that as long as you’re playing For Honor to win, choosing a fighter from the C-Tier is not a great option. But still, you can lower your guard a bit by simply choosing one of these fighters if you just want a new challenge. At some point, winning using a fighter from the S-Tier or A-Tier, for instance, can become boring. That’s where a C-Tier warrior can be useful:

  • Orochi – Assassin
  • Centurion – Hybrid
  • Peacekeeper – Assassin
  • Valkyrie – Hybrid

D-Tier

Let’s face it: you can surely use D-Tier warriors as punching bags. You can rapidly get a taste of just how weak they are, although you may still find it interesting to choose one of these fellows just for fun. Let’s say you want to test the main moves of one of the fighters that you can see in the S-Tier or in the A-Tier. It could be Warmonger, Conquerer, Shaolin, or someone else. Using such a character against one who appears in the D-Tier is a lot more comfortable as long as all you need to know is the basic moves.

Here are the warriors from the D-Tier:

  • Gladiator – Assassin
  • Warden – Vanguard
  • Tiandi – Vanguard

LOL-Tier

As you’ve already guessed, picking a character from the LOL-Tier is pretty much worthless. These guys are weak, and perhaps it would only be a good idea to use them as punching bags as well, along with those from the D-Tier. There are only two names here, however:

  • Aramusha – Hybrid
  • Lawbringer – Hybrid

Character details for Warmonger

Now that you’ve seen the tier list, Gaming Gorilla also allows us to see the stats of the characters themselves. We’ll present what Warmonger is capable of, one of the strongest warriors in For Honor. He’s also definitely one who deserves to be in the S-Tier.

Source: forhonor.fandom.com
  • Health: 130
  • Sprint Speed: 7m/s
  • Stamina: 130
  • Hero type: Vanguard
  • Faction: Knight

‘Now that we know the base stats of Warmonger, it’s time to dive into more detail and learn a bit about some of his attacks. Once again, we remind you that we’re talking about a fighter who appears in the S-Tier, so he’s clearly one of the top-class warriors who don’t hesitate to grab a victory when they get the chance.

Tier 1:

  • Rush
  • Corruption Blade
  • Conqueror

Rush is arguably the most interesting attack that Warmonger has. When he uses it, he can significantly increase his speed in battle. Unfortunately for him and fortunately for his opponents, the time Rush is activated is limited.

Tier 2:

  • Arrow Strike
  • Elixir of Corruption
  • Flesh Wound

We have to remark the Arrow Strike attack from this list. This little maneuver allows Warmonger to call an entire aerial attack over his opponent. Surely it’s pretty hard to avoid getting affected by this attack, which means that Arrow Strike is indeed pretty devastating.

Tier 3:

  • Punch Through
  • Power of Corruption
  • Tough as Nails

Power of Corruption arguably takes the cake from this list, as it’s capable of boosting damage that was already done to Corrupted enemies.

Tier 4:

  • Auto Revive
  • Corruption Blast
  • Arrow Storm

If there’s no execution involved, Warmonger is able to use Auto Revive to regain his strength instantly. It’s some kind of self-healing ability.

You can choose to play For Honor on various platforms. You can choose a PlayStation 4 or an Xbox One console, for instance. If your PC has the right hardware, surely it can run Ubisoft’s game as well. It’s recommended to have a graphics card such as NVIDIA GeForce GTX1080 with at least 3 GB of VRAM or AMD Radeon RX580 with a minimum of 4 GB of VRAM.
