Let’s be honest once in a while: most video games nowadays are way too easy to play. Literally, anybody can complete their story mode. So if you want to prove to the world how good you are in a specific game, going online and competing against others is pretty much the only option.

But that doesn’t need to happen all the time, as there are exceptions. Final Fantasy 14 is one of them, meaning an MMORPG released 12 years ago, which was developed and published by Square Enix.

Patch 6.25 brings the Criterion Dungeons mode in 2022

Those hardcore gamers who are looking for a challenge should definitely consider giving Final Fantasy 14 a try when the upcoming dungeon lands. According to pcgamer.com, the title will receive a very hard dungeon that shall be included in the upcoming Criterion Dungeons mode of Patch 6.25. The update will arrive at some point this year, and we don’t have a precise release date yet. The patch will feature level 90 high-difficulty challenges.

Another Sil’dihn Subterrane is the name of the first criterion dungeon from the upcoming patch. It brings a hard version, but to make matters worse, it also includes a savage version. But don’t worry, if you’re skilled enough and you keep practicing, you’ll be able to cross that bridge when you come to it!

For the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the Final Fantasy series, Koei Tecmo’s Team Ninja developed Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin.

There are plenty of games out there that fall out of the classical formula of being easy to complete, as they have plenty of hard modes that you can activate. Out of the top of our heads, we also recommend playing the Sniper Elite series at the hardest difficulty levels, especially Sniper Elite 3. That’s Hell on Earth right there!
