Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is less than two years old since it was published by Ubisoft in November 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Series S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Google Stadia, and Windows PC. Even so, the game is already receiving its second major expansion known as ‘Dawn of Ragnarok,’ which has already arrived for those owning the base game.

The new expansion, as described by IGN’s YouTube channel, is like this:

The dwarven kingdom of Svartalfheim is crumbling, and amid the chaos, Odin’s beloved son, Baldr, has been taken prisoner by the unkillable fire giant, Surtr. Eivor must embrace their destiny as Norse god Odin and embark on a quest to rescue Baldr.

However, the official launch trailer says more than a thousand words:

The developers behind the legendary series seem to be very diligent. The predecessor for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which is known as Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, was released just two years before. The successor is now the twelfth major installment of the series, and there’s no telling how it will all end since developers are focusing on bringing new updates for it.

‘Dawn of Ragnarok’ seems to be very different from the very first DLC of the game, known as ‘Wrath of the Druids’. However, that expansion also surprised the fans in pleasant ways, as it took them to a setting from Ireland. Mythology from those places was also present, and it seemed to represent a winning combination since the gamers received the DLC quite well.

Brutal battles seem to be everywhere in ‘Dawn of Ragnarok’, as the setting will be full of foes ready to tear apart anyone who might stand in their way. Medieval weapons are also there, but also fantastic creatures.

Are you eager to prove that you’re the man for the job in the new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla expansion?
