Although the iPhone 13 Pro Max is no longer the best iPhone that Apple sells, it is still a rather adept device that boasts superb performance, industry-leading battery life, and a versatile camera that gives us more than commendable image quality. Even though the iPhone 13 Pro Max has been succeeded by the iPhone 14 Pro Max, it is still, without a doubt, one of the best phones that money can buy right now. Due to the fact that Apple has stopped production of the iPhone 13 Pro Max, obtaining one would require the assistance of a third-party shop. Nevertheless, it is possible to accomplish this goal.

In the meantime, Google’s most recent flagship smartphone, the brand-spanking-new Google Pixel 7 Pro, has just emerged from the oven and is now available for purchase as of October 13. In comparison to the Pixel 6-series, which was introduced in the latter half of 2021, it does not deliver a significant amount of new features, but Google has included a number of enhancements in many important areas.

Performance

Even though it has been succeeded by the Apple A16 Bionic chipset, the lightning-quick Apple A15 Bionic chipset can be found within the iPhone 13 Pro Max. This chipset is still among the best mobile chips available, despite the fact that it has been superseded. Its performance could hardly be challenged by Google’s first bespoke processor, the Google Tensor, which arrived with last year’s flagship Pixel 6 Pro. Unfortunately, the Pixel 7 Pro with its newer Tensor G2 also can’t surpass Apple’s chip. The Google Tensor debuted with the Pixel 6 Pro last year.

The iPhone 13 Pro Max with its A15 Bionic has shown to have a large lead in benchmark tests, as was to be predicted. In contrast, the Google Pixel 7 Pro has lagged behind it in a variety of artificial performance measurements. The distinction, on the other hand, is not nearly as pronounced when considering its application in everyday life. Despite the significant gap in performance between the iPhone and the Pixel 7 Pro, the latter seems just as capable and responsive as the former.

Design

Both the Pixel 7 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max two have very distinctive looks in comparison to one another. The iPhone 13 Pro Max is the culmination of Apple’s efforts to push forward with its flat and luxurious design, which it has been doing for a few generations now. We have a frame made of stainless steel with glass on the front and back, as well as that all-encompassing camera island in the shape of a square. The front of the phone is protected by Apple’s Ceramic Shield, which is an extra-tough glass, and the camera lenses on the back of the phone are really made of sapphire, which is an extremely hard material. These features are included to ensure the user’s safety.

The display on the front of the Pixel 7 Pro is somewhat curved, and there is a protruding camera strip at the rear of the device that houses all of the cameras. Other than that, the Pixel 7 Pro is almost identical to its predecessor. The latter version is brightly colored rather than being all-black like the one that came before it, which is a deliberate design choice that makes it stand out in comparison to the earlier version.

Audio

The stereo speakers on the iPhone 13 Pro Max are among of the greatest and loudest you’ll find on a smartphone. They provide a sound that is both clear and rich, making it a true pleasure to listen to. However, the Pixel 6 Pro from the previous year also shocked us in that it had some very powerful stereo speakers, and the Pixel 7 Pro stays true to its roots by exhibiting a loud and meaty sound in a manner that is comparable to that of its predecessor. Because none of these phones has a socket for headphones, the only option you have is to purchase a set of wireless earbuds.

The iPhone 13 Pro Max has excellent haptics; they are very forceful and precise. The Pixel 7 Pro performs quite admirably in terms of haptic feedback as well; but, it appears to be missing some of the additional power that makes the iPhone such a pleasant phone to use in everyday situations.
