A New Resident Evil Game is Allegedly on Its Way; Find Out What Are the Chances

Capcom

Are you ready for a new Resident Evil experience? Rumor has it, Capcom is cooking something. The video game company has recently come up with quite the poll for some of their ambassadors to determine the next Resident Evil game to remake. So, that somehow indicates that a new game will soon enter development, right?! Most of the questions in the poll focused on the fandom’s online presence, including its social media, apparel, and website. However, there was something quite intriguing at the end of the poll, where a previous question did cause some stir.

At the survey’s conclusion, participants were asked which installment of the survival horror franchise they would most want to see adapted next. Despite the game’s seemingly infinite supply of remakes, downloadable material, and spin-offs, only a select number of games are likely to be considered for a future remake. What could that be?!

Even though Resident Evil Code: Veronica was overlooked in favor of Resident Evil 4 for the current remake, Capcom still has many options to explore. For example, with the release of Street Fighter 6, Capcom once again showed that creating new games was no challenge for the seasoned publisher. Could the next installment in the series surprise us with something fresh and innovative? Well, we bet that we couldn’t miss such a thing from miles!

To recall, the remake of Resident Evil 4 has brought the franchise widespread acclaim and marked a huge turning point for the series. The dev has succeeded in bringing a new touch to a number of titles, including the Resident Evil series, with remakes like Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3. And we should really believe in them because there was generally positive reception for all three releases!

So, we will have to make do with the titles that are already available, including a fan-made version of Code Veronica that is eagerly awaited because who knows what Capcom has in store for us.
