A Greater Power Than the Dragon Balls Themselves? What Dragon Ball Super Reveals

Everything becomes outdated in this world, and it even applies to the dragon balls that summon the Eternal Dragon Shenron. If you remember back in the day of the very first Dragon Ball anime, when Goku was a child, King Piccolo killed the Eternal Dragon after asking his youth back. That was perhaps the first signal that even the dragon balls can become outdated.

The Dragon Ball Super Manga continues the story long after the Tournament of Power arc that appeared in the animated show. The manga is at a new chapter, and according to ScreenRant.com, it suggests that there’s an even higher power than the dragon balls when it comes to reaching greater power levels. However, the latter variant represents a much harder way than to simply look for seven dragon balls.

Goku and Vegeta know the answer

According to the publication mentioned earlier, training enough to achieve and master the Ultra Instinct or Ultra Ego, respectively, represents the greater power than the dragon balls themselves. Goku and Vegeta spent all of their lives training hard and facing powerful foes, and the techniques mentioned previously represent their most powerful transformations. However, even for Goku and Vegeta, mastering those forms is difficult. They’re still not at that level. But once they tap into it, they’ll be stronger than what the Eternal Dragon has to offer.

It’s impossible to say at this point if Goku’s Ultra Instinct transformation is stronger than Vegeta’s Ultra Ego or vice versa. Both of them are stronger forms than any other the two mighty Saiyans had.

However, the Eternal Dragon was capable of making both Granolah and Gas, the member of the Heeters, the strongest fighters in the Universe. They were stronger than a Super Saiyan Blue at that point, meaning someone who possesses godly powers.
