Being a basic YouTube user is something that literally anyone can do, but since you want more than that, opting for the Premium version should be a ‘must.’ Apart from the lack of ads, the paid subscription plan of YouTube now gets some powerful new features that will potentially make you even more willing to upgrade.

On the YouTube Official Blog, the renowned streaming platform highlights five new powerful features that Youtube Premium users can get. For the same monthly subscription fee, the Premium version of the platform is rolling out some new features that will clearly catch your attention and interest.

SharePlay support and Synced Playback are included

The SharePlay support and Synced Playback are two of the new features included in the new rollout. It’s easily deductible what these features can do. Both Premium and basic YouTube users can watch videos together as they use Google Meet sessions.

The Queuing feature allows Premium users on phones and tablets to rapidly make the jump from a music video to the latest episode of their favorite show, for instance. The feature is now coming to portable devices.

If you’re a Premium YouTube user, the ability to share the content you watch even easier than before is now rolling out as well. Thus, the Meet Live Sharing feature allows Premium members to host sessions on Google Meet where everyone, including basic users, can watch a concert on the platform together for instance.

YouTube Premium members can now also resume watching their favorite videos across devices. If you need to resume watching a podcast from your laptop to your phone, for instance, as you prepare something to eat in the kitchen, there’s a new feature that can do the trick for you.

Recommended videos now go straight to the library of Premium users for offline watching, just in case your internet goes down. This trick is possible due to the new Smart Downloads feature.

Last but not least, YouTube Premium users will also soon benefit from even higher 1080p HD quality for their favorite videos. The feature will first land on iPhones and other iOS devices.
