The Dragon Ball universe has some pretty unique characters. A lot of fighters have peculiar and exciting attacks, but some of them had been forgotten by the writers. There are characters that were highly demanded by the fans to return, and today we’ll talk about some of them.

Such Dragon Ball characters weren’t demanded for no reason. They have shown great potential in the franchise, and they could have been a lot more important in the full context. Dragon Ball Super is currently distributed in its manga form, but Season 2 of the animated show is expected to arrive on the screens in the near future. Since compared to the Dragon Ball Z, the Super anime has been more inclined towards granting the fans their wishes, we can also expect for these characters to appear again at some point:

Yajirobe

Yajirobe is pretty weak in Dragon Ball Z, although he was one of Goku’s fierce rivals back in the very first Dragon Ball anime when the Saiyan hero was a child. After the two warriors engaged in a fight for food, they became friends. Yajirobe helped Goku climb the Korin Tower and gather the ultra divine water. With new powers, Goku was then able to defeat King Piccolo. Although Yajirobe has shown some potential to be a good fighter, he preferred to remain with the Korin cat in the tower throughout the Dragon Ball Z anime instead of doing some training.

Android 16

Android 16 was one of Dr. Gero’s inventions for causing chaos and hunting down Goku. The android has proven to have the “calm before the storm” vibe. He was a silent and otherwise peaceful guy, as he became willing to step in only when it was absolutely necessary. Android 16 fought a tough battle against Cell, and he even managed to land a few devastating blows to the villain. But the even more important contribution of Android 16 was the speech he held to Gohan in order to unleash the young Saiyan’s hidden and devastating powers against Cell. Once again, Android 16 proved his sensitive and peaceful nature.

Raditz

Raditz was Goku’s older and evil brother, and he made a very badass entrance in the very beginning of the Dragon Ball Z anime. He moped the floor with Goku and kidnapped kid Gohan. Having a rockstar appearance with long hair and very muscular physique, Raditz was significantly stronger than anyone else at his time. It took the combined forces of Goku and Piccolo to take Raditz down, and the villain was never seen again in the entire Dragon Ball series. However, Raditz remained in the Dragon Ball history as one of the best entrances ever. Adding the fact that he’s Goku’s brother, we hope to see Raditz again. The Dragon Ball series never had any problems with bringing characters back from the dead, so it shouldn’t be a problem as well in the case of Raditz.

Goten

Sure, Goten is still present in Dragon Ball Super, but surely we would like to see him receive a much more important role. He is Goku’s youngest son and also the youngest Super Saiyan back in the Dragon Ball Z anime. Goten achieved the legendary transformation pretty easily after training with his mother Chi-Chi. Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan had to struggle very hard to become Super Saiyans. Therefore, Goten has shown enormous potential, one that can be exploited much better in future releases.

According to some unofficial sources, the Dragon Ball Super anime will return in 2023 with a brand new season. The show will likely follow the recent events from the manga, including the fights against Planet Eater Moro and Granolah.
