When Can I Get My Hands on Atomic Heart? Release Date & Time

Credit: Atomic Heart

The official release date for Atomic Heart is February 21, 2023, although owing to time zone differences and staggered PC releases, some gamers may be able to get started today.

At what time can we expect to see Atomic Heart in theaters? A tweet from Atomic Heart’s official publisher revealed that the PC (Steam) and console versions of the game would have separate release windows. For consoles such the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, and PS4, the launch date is a universally midnight on February 21. The release date and time also apply to the game’s availability on Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft’s subscription service, for streaming and downloading. Time and date of PC release for Atomic Hearts are as follows: 6PM EST, February 20.

Pre-loading is now accessible on all platforms, including Xbox Game Pass, for those who don’t want to wait for long downloads. It’s not a huge file, at least for the systems we’re familiar with. The PS5 version of the game occupies around 42GB of storage space, whereas the PS4 version requires about 48GB. Although we don’t know for sure, we may assume that the Xbox 360 and Xbox One download sizes will be comparable to those of the PlayStation versions. On PC, gamers will want 90GB of storage space. These costs do not account for any future fixes or content additions that may be made to the game after its initial release.

Atomic Heart is a first-person shooter that takes place in a paradise where technology has advanced at a far faster pace than it has in our world. Similar to the BioShock series, players in this game may get access to unique abilities by wearing an experimental power glove.

Although the early acclaim the game has earned for its pre-release playability, the developer’s ties to Russia and the money that have backed the game’s creation have come under investigation in recent months. The timing of the game’s release, on the anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, makes the situation much more precarious.
