According to a new official tweet, Twitter has expanded the character limit per tweet in the case of those who are subscribed to the Twitter Blue plan. To be more precise, users can post tweets that reach a length of 10,000 characters. But that’s not all, as those willing to add a little flavor to their tweets are also in luck – the new update also includes the possibility for the user to use bold and italic text formatting.

Twitter explained in its tweet:

We’re making improvements to the writing and reading experience on Twitter! Starting today, Twitter now supports Tweets up to 10,000 characters in length, with bold and italic text formatting.

Sign up for Twitter Blue to access these new features, and apply to enable Subscriptions on your account to earn income directly on Twitter. Tap on “Monetization” in settings to apply today.
