CoTweets, which allows users to write tweets together, was announced in March 2022 and made available to certain users in the following months. Although it was a novel concept at the time, the function was only made accessible to a small number of test accounts in the United States, Canada, and South Korea for a brief period of time. The firm has announced on its support website that it will sunset the function on January 31. This means that it is likely that most users will never get to taste the delight of co-tweeting with friends or family. The firm has announced the conclusion of the trial on the About CoTweets section of its assistance site.

All CoTweets already in existence will be deleted and existing users will no longer be allowed to make any more. Additionally, starting January 31st, users will only be able to read previously posted CoTweets for a period of one month. As of that time, CoTweets will be converted to ReTweets. It’s unclear whether or when this function will be reinstated, but the business has said it would continue to look at possible implementations.

The most notable of Twitter’s recent platform updates was the removal of language from its developer agreement that prohibited and terminated third-party Twitter clients. The For you timeline has been eliminated, and the firm has modified the behavior of its other timelines to make life easier for its customers. Twitter owner Elon Musk said on Twitter that ad volume will be decreased and a new, more expensive tier of Twitter Blue would be introduced.

The most recent alteration to the platform was an unexpected tweak to the typeface, making it easier for users to spot fake accounts and other malicious behavior. Some users may miss CoTweets once it has been discontinued, but most won’t even realize they were missing out until it is too late.
