This Fortnite Graphic Render Bug Causes Burn-in Displays – Here’s How to Fix It

Source: Epic Games

There’s a Fortnite Chapter 3 bug that causes quite the trouble for most players. How can we fix it?

The graphic render bug is causing burn-in displays right after running into the MK7 rifle. Many players have reported that the bug makes it look like the game is failing. As annoying as that might sound, it’s not going to last forever.

Here’s how you can fix the bug.

Fix the Fortnite Graphics Bug: a Guide

The recent graphic render bug messes up with many Fortnite players’ in-game experience and is quite annoying.

Luckily, the battle royale community has come up with a few methods to keep the issue under control.

If you experience something like this (watch the video below), you can try the following methods:

Fix 1

  • Right after you spot the graphic glitch, bring up the map
  • Next, take off the map, and you should see how the affected areas are being cleared up

Fix 2

  • Press alt-tab out of the game
  • Then, alt-tab straight back into the game to solve the issue

If the methods don’t work for you, it’s totally fine. Some cases are pretty terrible, and the glitch is more severe.

How Does the Bug Affect the Game?

Unfortunately, we don’t know yet what causes the render bug. But, some Fortnite players came up with a few theories.

For example, Reddit user r/FortNiteBR explains:

I’ve been having this issue since day one of this season and don’t know how to get rid of it. It makes it look like stuff is burned onto my screen. Some times it players names, the MK7 sights or my build menu. I have to open up my map to make it go away just for it to come back a minute or so later. from FortNiteBR

Practically, using the new MK7 rifle is the real issue, even if you do it with or without scoping in. Such a thing may cause surrounding areas to load oddly.

And as if it wasn’t enough, the player names and the build menu act the same strange way, creating a glitch throughout various matches.

Let’s hope Epic Games will release a bug fix soon so that our Fortnite experience won’t be affected anymore.
