The Sims 5: Interesting New Jobs At Maxis May Provide A Hint

Various new adverts appear that suggest that the development for The Sims 5 (or however it will be named) is going strong.

Many people talked about the future of The Sims 4 and its successor, especially when it will be released.

Some sources suggest that the game will be playable online, as it will pack a significant multiplayer component.

Though the release date isn’t specific yet, one thing is exact – The Sims 4 has a lot more to give before it makes room for the next game.

The curious thing is, various new career opportunities popped up from Maxis, the franchise’s developer.

The Sims Community website first noticed the job offers, and they are tangible proof that a new Sims game is on its way!

One of the job listings speaks of an XD Designer – UI / Visual Designer:

“We are looking for an XD Designer who will focus exclusively on UI for a minimum of 2 years of the project development. After this period, this role could become a hybrid UI/UX role.”

The “two-year” mention is odd, especially when you look at the other adverts recently posted. Games typically take a long while to be developed, and we are sure that the next Sims game was in development for quite a while, and that is the first sign of what sort of release date window we should expect.

Unfortunately, two years sounds like a lot, especially as many franchise fans aren’t that pleased to play The Sims 4, even though it received multiple updates.

Stay tuned for more news on the subject!
