The Flash’s upcoming new installment is set to be released during the summer of next year but while it feels like it’s right around the corner, Warner Bros. Discovery is still seemingly dealing with a huge issue regarding this production.
As you may or may not be aware, the actor playing the titular character, Ezra Miller, has been involved in scandal after scandal, including with the law, which has obviously put the studio in a very delicate situation.
The star was recently arrested at a Hawaii karaoke bar after accusations of harassment and disorderly conduct and this is just one of the many crimes they have been accused of.
As a result, Warner Bros. has made their decision not to recast Miller in the main role of The Flash for the next movie in the series very clear.
Another thing the studio has stressed, however, is that the movie will not be canceled but instead, will still be released in theaters as is since filming was already completed at the time Miller’s reputation started going downhill.
This decision was made in order to avoid a massive financial loss.
But that being said, who is going to replace Miller in the future if the studio makes another Flash movie?
Rumors have been going around that Warner Bros. already has a list of actors that would suit the role and might take it over in the future.
Apparently, the one at the very top of the list is 1917 star George MacKay!
Hearing the speculations, fans are already imagining MacKay in the role and some of them are even creating impressive fan art of the beloved character with his brand new face.
For instance, an artist that goes by the handle @Clements.Ink on Instagram, has designed an amazing project that shows MacKay imagined in the role of Barry Allen.
The fan art shows the actor wearing a costume similar to one of the multiple worn by Grant Gustin on the CW TV series with the same title.

It’s a really cool reimaging and many fans hope that if MacKay does get the role, he will also get an iconic costume just like that!
It sounds like many have him on their dream cast list!
In the meantime, DC fans can enjoy the Dwayne Johnson-led Black Adam movie, since it’s currently airing in theaters.
The latest DC comics film also features Aldis Hodge, best known for The Invisible Man and Underground as well as Noah Centineo (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before,) Quintessa Swindell (Euphoria,) Pierce Brosnan (Mamma Mia!,) and Sarah Shahi (The L Word.)
Other notable names part of the cast are: Uli Latukefu, Mohammed Amer, Marwan Kenzari, and Bodhi Sabongui, and James Cusati-Moyer.
