Samsung has recently reduced the prices of its Galaxy S22 smartphones in India, but only the standard model is available at a discounted price. The Galaxy S22+ has been discontinued, while the Galaxy S22 Ultra still retails at its original price.

The base model of the Galaxy S22 is now available at INR 57,999, while the 256GB variant will cost INR 61,999. These prices represent a significant reduction from the original launch prices of INR 72,999 and INR 76,999, respectively.

Samsung Galaxy S22 remains a solid phone

The standard Samsung Galaxy S22 model boasts a 6.1-inch display with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels. The device is equipped with a 50MP camera that is capable of capturing 4320p videos. It is powered by an Exynos 2200 processor and has 8GB of RAM, ensuring a smooth and efficient performance. The device is also equipped with a 3700mAh Li-Ion battery, providing a decent amount of battery life for daily use.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 is equipped with a range of advanced sensors, including an under display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, an accelerometer, gyro, proximity sensor, compass, and barometer. The device also offers seamless desktop computing with the help of Samsung DeX and Samsung Wireless DeX. It allows users to enjoy a desktop-like experience right on their phone. Additionally, the phone has an AI-powered voice assistant Bixby, which can be controlled using natural language commands and dictation. The device also comes equipped with Samsung Pay, which is certified by both Visa and MasterCard, making it easy for users to make secure mobile payments.

The move regarding the reduction of the prices is clearly not unexpected. Samsung usually reduces the prices of its previous flagships after the newer ones become available.

Samsung released its new Galaxy S23 flagship series a few days ago, and all three models are superior to their predecessors.
