Playing Pokemon FireRed is really fun but what can make the experience even better is having access to some cheats that will help with progressing the game a little faster!
With that being said, this article is here to provide you with just that – some cheat codes that will take your Pokemon gaming to another level!
As you may or may not be aware, many players out there use such codes in order to get things like rare items, candy and infinite in-game money, all of which are really useful if you’re trying to level up quickly and enjoy the game without too many constraints.
Just keep in mind that the following codes are strictly meant for the Pokemon Fire Red version and that others, such as Emerald or LeafGreen, require their own separate codes to activate the cheats.
Without further ado, here are some cheat codes that might still work for you, accompanied by explanations of what they do.
Infinite Money 999,999
The name is quite straightforward. This cheat will give you infinite in-game money, allowing you to play freely however you’d like without any restrictions.
Codes you can use to activate infinite money: 820257BC 423F, 820257BE 000F, 29C78059 96542194.
Unlimited Master ball – cheat code: 82025840 0001
Pokemon Received MOD
These codes should only be activated upon receiving a Pokemon.
Here are some that may still work depending on when you’re checking out this list: 1003DAE6 0007, 83007D4E 0ZZZ, 33007D50 00YY, 33007D51 001F.
Fast Egg Hatching
This cheat will allow your eggs to hatch within 5 to 10 steps.
Codes you can try to activate it: 97726CAE9184, 8F7AAA5C15FE, B85E5A770386.
Wishing Piece
To use this cheat, all you have to do is enter the code and then withdraw wishing on your computer.
Code: 82025804 0058.
Steal Opponents’ Pokemon
For this to work, use one of the following cheats and then press L+R before throwing the Pokeball: 4D83B1BF E0F5F507, 8E883EFF 92E9660D, B6C5368A 08BE8FF4, 90B4977C C0151DC2.
Easily catch Pokemon
This cheat will ensure a 100 percent catch rate for all normal Pokemon. While the same cannot be said about legendary Pokemon, the odds are going to increase as well.
Codes: 87ACF659 707466DC, 8BB602F7 8CEB681A.
Infinite EXP
When trying to activate this cheat, you will receive an alert reading: “The cheat may not be applied to this game.” All you need to do is ignore it.
Codes: 74000130027D, 7300218C0001, 82023D501388.
Tips when using cheats
Now that you have access to some useful cheats, here are a few things you might want to know before using them:
- Always use recommended GBA emulators,
- It’s preferred to use no more than three cheats in a game,
- After use, turn off cheats,
- Always save your game before trying to activate any of the cheats,
- Check your bag after activating any cheat and if you notice anything unusual, do not save the game,
- If a cheat does not seem to work immediately after activation, try to go in and out of an entrance more than 5 times as it usually helps.
