No More AirPower For Apple Users, But We Can Try a Tesla Device!

Source: Tesla

Forget about Apple’s AirPower because Tesla has your back with a cool charging device!

As the tech giant based in Cupertino gives up one of its charging devices, we get to try something new (and hopefully, different) by Tesla that can charge three devices at once, and it comes with a fair price tag of $300.

Should you give it a try? Read out below and find out.

Tesla Wireless Charging Platform: Hit or Miss?

Quite unexpected news for Apple fans: back in 2018, the company unveiled the AirPower, a charging mat capable of simultaneously charging three devices; long story short, that won’t happen anymore!

The AirPower never materialized despite some rumors that Apple is still working on it, and after a year of delays, the firm has acknowledged this openly (what a shame, isn’t it?!).

Tesla, however, has something else in plans for you: a wireless charging platform totally worth your time and money (they say!).

What features does Tesla’s device offer?

Tesla just began selling a product on its website under the moniker Wireless Charging Platform, which is a wireless charging station that can deliver 15W of electricity to three devices at once. How cool!

In terms of design, well, don’t get your hopes too high because it’s not that sleek or breathtaking whatsoever. But, if you’re into the Cybertruck, good news, you’re going to like the following details:

The Wireless Charging Platform has an aluminum casing, a removable magnetic base, which lets you position the charger either flat or at an angle, and an Alcantara surface for placing your devices on. According to Tesla, the device’s design was inspired by its future Cybertruck (not so dull anymore, right?!).

Finally, Tesla appears to have taken somehow another hint from the Cupertino tech giant, setting a price tag of $300 for the Wireless Charging Platform. The charging device is currently available for purchase; however, deliveries will start in February 2023.
