NBA 2K23, the basketball simulation game developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Games, is finally launching today, September 9. You can play the new NBA title on Xbox Series X/Series S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, or Windows PC.

We spoke about the new NBA 2K23 game even in late July when we shared the first look trailer. As for now, it’s time to learn a bit about how to have successful gameplay while running the new NBA! Compared to the previous game in the series, NBA 2K23 brings new game modes and better graphics, just to say the least.

Surely you need to shoot the basketball as well as possible in any NBA game, and the new NBA 2K23 is no exception. That’s why we’re here to help:

Take it easy

You know that old saying that rushing things can only get them worse, and it can be available while playing NBA 2K23 as well. Leaving the flair aside and focusing on the shots and their efficiency is the key. You can start by performing easier shots in order to become better and better over time. Do it from different positions. Once you feel at least a bit prepared, it’s time for the big boys’ deal. You can join a proper game in NBA 2K23.

Try a jump shot combination

This one is only for careers. You can establish your own signature shot by pairing the Base and release mechanics of NBA players. Focusing on Speed and Defense immunity is a good start.

Don’t neglect the defenders

It’s a common mistake to neglect the defense of your opponent, so it can happen to pretty much anybody. A defender can always jump in your way and block your shot, even if things were looking as they were in your favor. The more you play the game, the more used you’ll get to such situations and how to avoid them for having a better and more efficient shot.

You can buy NBA 2K23 from Steam for 59.99 euros. If you want to purchase the Michael Jordan Edition, that will cost you 40 euros more.
