As a player of Minecraft, the individual is free as a bird… well, maybe not a bird because they can fly, and the individual is just a blocky character running around in a virtual world. But they can dig and build to their heart’s content! They can create their own kingdom, complete with castles, moats, and even a rollercoaster if they are feeling adventurous.

Sure, there are some limitations in the game, like the fact that they can’t actually taste the virtual cake they just baked in their virtual furnace, but overall they are the master of their own destiny in the world of Minecraft. They can explore caves, fight off hordes of zombies, and even tame their own virtual pets.

Minecraft Legends is launching on April 18

Minecraft Legends aims to take the Minecraft experience to a whole new level, and it’s coming for both consoles and PC on April 18. The information is revealed by a brand new trailer, and you are free to watch it to learn a lot more about the upcoming game:

Embark on an epic journey with Minecraft Legends, a game that will test your skills in both strategy and combat. Imagine a land of boundless resources and picturesque biomes, but it’s in peril as the ruthless piggins are on a rampage. But fear not! You’re the chosen one, the leader, and it’s your duty to rally your comrades and lead them in battles that will determine the fate of the Overworld. Will you rise to the challenge and save this land from certain doom or join the piglins in the destruction? The choice is yours in Minecraft Legends.

In short, as a player of Minecraft, the individual may not have the freedom to fly or taste virtual food, but they have the freedom to create and shape their own world in any way they please. And that is the true definition of freedom… or at least, the freedom that a blocky character in a virtual world can experience!
