According to Hipgnosis Songs Capital, the singer sold his music. After Bieber was discovered on Youtube as a teen, he sold more than 150 million records. The sales have been rumored for weeks and have cashed out recently on their catalogs. Hipgnosis did not reveal the terms of the deal, but a source said it was worth about $200m. 

At only 28 years of age, he is one of a handful of defining artists of the streaming era that has revitalised the entire music industry, taking a loyal and worldwide audience with him on a journey from teen phenomenon to a culturally important artist.

How Much The Artist Helped Hipgnosis Songs Capital?

Hipgnosis Songs Capital is between financial giant Blackstone and the British Hipgnosis Song Management. After Bieber’s interest in publishing copyrights was released before December 31, 2021.

Bieber’s longtime home, Universal, will pursue administering the catalog and still owns the artist’s master recordings. Meanwhile, Justin Timberlake and Shakira have sold large stakes in their work. Both struck deals with Hipgnosis, but the move has been among legacy artists, including Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen.
