If you need something a bit different than the standard Instagram app, you can always give the Lite version a try for a faster and more versatile experience. Here’s another argument to jump on the bandwagon with Instagram Lite: the 312.0.0.2.103 beta APK is now up for grabs via APKMirror!

There are two options of download available, and both of them are represented by APK Bundles. Both are pretty bulky as well – one comes in 17 splits, while the other has 6. There’s no information available about what the update brings new, so installing it on your Android phone is the best way to find out.

While one of the download options requires at least Android 8.0 (Oreo, API 26), the other one will even work if, by any chance, you have the Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich MR1, API 15) version running on your smartphone or anything released after it. That’s an 11-year-old version of Google’s operating system for mobiles.

Here’s how Instagram Lite is described via the Google Play Store:

Instagram Lite makes it easier to bring you closer to the people and things you love.

The Instagram Lite app is small, fast and works on all networks. Enjoy the best features of INSTA like connecting with friends, sharing what you’re up to, or seeing what’s new from others all over the world. Explore our community where you can feel free to be yourself and share everything from your daily moments to life’s highlights.

As for the standard Instagram app, Meta hasn’t forgotten about it as well. In late June, we shared the news about the company testing a new way to verify the age of users – by asking their friends for confirmation.

While the Instagram Lite app has been downloaded from the Play Store more than 100 million times, the basic Instagram app has around one billion users.
