With only the season 1 finale yet to be released, The Last of Us actor Bella Ramsey has spoken candidly about their wish to return for Season 2 of the HBO series.

Ramsey discussed their excitement for Season 2 during a recent interview on The Last of Pods podcast, despite the fact that they are well aware it will be a very different experience.

Ramsey claimed that their involvement with The Last of Us Season 1 made it the very best year ever so naturally, the actor is attempting to lower expectations for Season 2’s filming.

Ramsey said that “I am really excited. It still feels so surreal to me that it is going to go again. But also, I do not want to go into it comparing it to the experience of the first season, because Season 1 of The Last of Us was the best year of my life, and it isn’t going to be the same. I just have to go into it being like, ‘This is season 2. And I love season one, but this is just going to be different.’ I am really excited. I just, yeah, want to be back in Canada with Craig Mazin and Pedro for a little bit. It is going to be really nice.”

When HBO plans to start shooting and eventually broadcast Season 2 of The Last of Us is currently unknown.

The Last of Us Part II, which is set several years after the first game, will be directly adapted for Season 2, according to showrunner Craig Mazin.

The Last of Us star Pedro Pascal appears to have recently indicated that Season 2 production may start later in 2023, which is obviously really exciting news for the fans.
