As more and more foldable devices start to appear everywhere, Samsung is apparently preparing to deliver us the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 a little earlier than expected. According to SamMobile, the tech giant is planning an Unpacked event for “the final week” of July 2023. That could most likely be on July 25/27. All these dates approximately correspond to the company’s typical launch event days, but what makes this noteworthy is that it has been announced far earlier than expected. Could we finally get to see the new Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galalxy Z Flip 5?
Just a little more than two months have passed since the Galaxy S23 series went on sale, so seeing another huge launch event is definitely a delight, isn’t it?! However, keep in mind that the recent news is only a rumor. It would help a lot to take everything with a pinch of salt!
But, considering other things, Samsung could totally host the Galaxy Unpacked Event at the end of July and release new phones. For example, OnePlus is gearing up to deliver its first foldable smartphone in Q3 (July or August, based on the company’s customary pattern), while Google is also getting ready to introduce the Pixel Fold at Google I/O next month ahead of a release in June. So, is it pretty obvious why Samsung might do that?!
Practically, moving forward the release date of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 to July, the tech giant could actually avoid having to follow all product launches. Smart, isn’t it?!
To recall, The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 were officially unveiled by Samsung on August 10, which was more than two weeks after the intended date for the 2023 event. And it was also the best-case scenario because, by the month’s end, the two phones had begun to ship.
