2021 is approaching its end, and it was an impressive year for Dragon Ball Super. The manga version of the series has presented the adventures of Goku and the gang while they were confronting Moro, and as for now, the Granolah arc is approaching its end as well.

Recently, it turned out that Granolah finally realized that Goku and Vegeta are not to blame for the death of his mother. Therefore, they all realized who is the real enemy behind the scenes, one that will eventually come after all of them: Gas, a member of the Heeters. According to ComicBook.com, there’s a brand new major arc that will arrive in the Dragon Ball Super Manga for 2022. The information comes from Toyotarou himself, the manga artist, to be more precise.

What exactly will happen in 2022?

There’s no information yet about how exactly the new major arc in the Dragon Ball Super Manga will be. But the good news is that an animated movie under the “Dragon Ball Super” mark will come to the big screens next year. Entitled “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero”, the upcoming movie will bring back the Red Ribbon Army from the ashes. The evil organization will once again create powerful androids for Goku and the gang to face. But this time, Gohan seems to be under the spotlight more than ever, and he clearly deserves it. Goku’s son is the one responsible for defeating Cell back in the old days of Dragon Ball Z, while Gohan was an 11-year-old Super Saiyan that surpassed even his father in strength.

There is a lot of exciting stuff that can happen in the manga version of Dragon Ball Super in 2022. Frieza could come back and stronger than ever, Gas can become the most powerful and dangerous foe that the Z warriors ever had to face, and so on. Last and not least, a brand new villain could emerge.
