DC Superheroes that Deserve Their Own Video Games

As much as we all love Batman, some think DC has been putting all their eggs into only one basket when it comes to their superhero games.

After all, they have so many cool characters that would make for excellent video games and yet, they all remain unexplored while everyone is forced to experience Batman fatigue due to the Dark Knight oversaturation.

With that being said, we have decided to make a short list featuring 3 of the best DC superheroes that can perfectly transition into gaming territory!

Of course, while we’ve decided to limit our mental exploration to only 3, it’s important to mention that there are many others who deserve their own games.

  1. Deadman

Deadman, also known as Boston Brand, was assassinated and now haunts the mortal world, giving justice to those who are worthy of it.

He may be dead and therefore not able to interact with anything in the real world, but he still possesses one special power.

He has control over the living to a certain extent, being able to possess them.

Imagine being given the mission to sneak into a fortified structure or an enemy camp as Deadman in order to get some crucial documents.

Sounds simple, but he is also unable to engage with physical items.

To sneak into any area, to open certain doors, or even just pick up items, players would have to possess various people.

As a result, a Deadman game would most likely have branching paths to the many goals, guaranteeing that each player’s experience is unique and creating some really fun and intriguing gameplay and story options.

  1. Aquaman

We could visit Atlantis, explore the ocean’s mysteries, and battle unusual creatures from the deep in an Aquaman video game.

It would be fantastic to revisit an underwater city after discovering Rapture’s beauty in BioShock.

The game would emphasize the political aspects of being the King of Atlantis as well, in addition to Aquaman’s ability to call forth monsters from the deep to assist him in battle.

There would be tons of political intrigue and drama interwoven with some superb underwater warfare in the vein of Arkham. What’s not to like?

  1. Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman has never gotten her very own game, unlike the other Justice League members.

And although a Wonder Woman video game that lets players follow her through many eras would be phenomenal, a Diana Prince game would undoubtedly run into the same issue Superman games do because of her immense strength.

That being said, it is probably preferable if she has to go up against a foe from Greek mythology, such as Ares or Circe.

A Wonder Woman video game may also follow in the footsteps of Kratos, another character with Greek origins who is well-known among the pantheon of gods.

Kratos is skilled in hand-to-hand combat and is a master of sword and shield alike.

A Diana of Themyscira-themed video game may be the ideal fit for a story driven adventure such as the new God of War.

It could very well combine intense battle with a complex plot, making for an undeniably fun experience all around.
