If you are looking for Ascension material and want to craft really useful potions, this is the right place for you!

As you may or may not know, Dandelion Seeds are really useful resources in Genshin Impact but truth be told, it can take a really long time to find them all by yourself.

Not only that but you also need the help of an Anemo ally in order to actually collect all of these seeds.

Ensure that you have at least one Anemo character ready to join the team since using an Anemo attack on Dandelion plants will get you what you need.

In fact, Sucrose is the perfect choice since she can use her usual attack to gather Dandelion Seeds instead of having to wait for Elemental Skill cooldowns.

But if you do not have any new Anemo characters from Wishes yet, it’s totally fine to just use the Traveler under the condition that your Traveler’s active Element is not Geo but Anemo!

But how can you find many Dandelion Seeds and use them? This guide is here to help you!

–       Finding Dandelion Seeds

Along with other region exclusive plants such as Cecilia flowers and Wolfhook, Dandelion Seeds are also one of the local specialties of Mondstadt.

However, unlike some other Mondstadt specialties, Dandelion Seeds can’t be purchased from traders.

The only way to get them is by exploring the wild!

In the Mondstadt region, there are actually a total of 52 Dandelion Seeds and you can see their locations by checking the map.

Just remember that Dandelion Seeds take around 3 real life days to grow again which is even more of a reason to collect them as soon as you pull an Eula or a Jean from your Wishes.

–       Getting Dandelion Seeds Quickly

Without a doubt, the very best place to gather them is in front of the Mondstadt gates.

When you leave the city, right before crossing the stone bridge, you can find 3 Dandelion plants to the right as well as 6 to the left!

Just keep in mind that two of the six are a bit further up North so don’t just give up on looking for them if you can’t find them right away.

Then, as you go over the bridge, to the east, you will find 2 more seeds to the right of the Temple of the Falcon, on the top of the cliff!

If you just remember these simple locations, you’ll be able to collect a total of 11 Dandelion Seeds every 3 real-world days!

Another really good location where you can collect Dandelion Seeds is on the cliffs southwest of the Dawn Winery.

While it takes a bit longer to arrive here, you can still find up to 10 Dandelions so it may just be worth it!

All you need to do is teleport to the new Ridge Watch dungeon before running along the edge of the cliff towards the northwest until you find a small pond right below.

You should be able to spot the first Dandelions right behind it so just glide down and collect them all!

Sadly, the other Dandelions are not nearly as concentrated but if you want some more without running too far, you can gather a couple more just north of the Teleport Waypoint at Cape Oath and another three south of the Statue of the Seven in Starfell Lake.

–       Uses for Dandelion Seeds

Until not too long ago, the only Genshin Impact character who needed Dandelion Seeds for Ascension was 5-star Jean but with the addition of fellow 5-star character, Eula, this is no longer the case.

Now both of them require no less than 168 Dandelion Seeds in order to reach their max Ascension level.

These seeds are also used in alchemy. For instance, you need 5 seeds to make an Anemoculus Resonance Stone which can be used to track Anemoculus locations all around Mondstadt.

Crafting Gushing Essential Oil or Windbarrier Potions requires Dandelion Seeds as well.

The Gushing Essential Oil is used to increase Anemo damage by 25 percent for five minutes while a Windbarrier Potion will increase Anemo Elemental resistance by the same values.

With that being said, Dandelion Seed is a really useful ingredient to have in general, regardless of whether you have Eula or Jean as part of your team or not.
