Sony reveals synopsis for God of War: Ragnarök

Sony, the publisher behind God of War: Ragnarök, revealed via the PlayStation Store the new synopsis for the upcoming game:

From Santa Monica Studio comes the sequel to the critically acclaimed God of War (2018). Fimbulwinter is well underway. Kratos and Atreus must journey to each of the Nine Realms in search of answers as Asgardian forces prepare for a prophesied battle that will end the world. Along the way they will explore stunning, mythical landscapes, and face fearsome enemies in the form of Norse gods and monsters. The threat of Ragnarök grows ever closer. Kratos and Atreus must choose between their own safety and the safety of the realms.

Even though the new God of War is on its way to the gaming scene, a lot of folks were expecting the title to be released a few months sooner. Also, we sure don’t have to rule out the possibility for God of War: Ragnarök to become available for more platforms as well.

If we take a good look at the graphics, they sure look as if they’re well adapted for the advanced technology that the PlayStation 5 is running. This means that there seems to be no reason to believe that a version for the Xbox Series X/S cannot be made by the developers from Santa Monica.
