Battlefield 2042 Update Has 64 Hidden Changes

Credit: Electronic Arts

DICE issued a large new Battlefield 2042 update two days ago, which included a significant number of adjustments to the PC version of the game as well as the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X versions of the game. Since then, a user on Reddit has found not one, not two, but 64 “hidden” modifications that were added to the game, and the numbers are growing. Although the patch notes for the release were large, it seems that they did not include all of the relevant information. Even if most of these modifications aren’t very remarkable, the fact that they weren’t incorporated is strange. At the very least, it would be strange if something like this didn’t happen with virtually every release.

Update 1.1 (1.1.0) Stealth changes list from battlefield2042

You will be able to see each and every alteration that has been found up to this point below. If any shifts are found, we will make careful to update the narrative to reflect such shifts as soon as we find them.

However, it is important to note that not all of these alterations have been validated, and none of these have been verified by DICE or EA or anybody affiliated with either side. Neither of these companies has confirmed any of these alterations.

Changes

Here are some of the changes noticed on Reddit:

  • When a teammate hopped inside a tank, a green circle appeared. The round concludes with everyone being halted in the place they were in before the round began. Incapable of relocating in a certain direction
  • When you use tactical sprint, you’ll see a bobbling effect on the screen.
In addition, the crimson visor of Boris’ Serebro Centurion was altered to a black one.
  • Breakthrough’s defense vehicles, at least on Hourglass, have been nerfed.
  • Forcing electric doors that aren’t owned by the owner to open is now significantly quicker.
  • Lobby and map music has been corrected.
  • Maybe an oversight, but there’s a problem with the “Skip Killer Camera” checkbox.
  • When “Deny revive” is held, a new “Deny/cross” type effect on Nixon’s resurrection occurs.
  • When “request revive” is held, the revive symbol has a new “pulsing” type effect.
  • As a new feature, gear (nades, gadgets, etc.) and vehicles now display their mastery levels with a colored badge in the collection/loadout interface.
  • 11 new BT air raid sound effects.
  • For the first time, EMP grenades have new effects.
  • New enemy grenade icon/outline in close proximity
  • Under the commo rose you may pick flags to attack or defend in the new squad leader squad ordering system, similar to what was in BF1 and BF5.
  • Fifteen new phone lines
  • The graphics and quality of the PS4 version on the PS5 are better. The time it takes for a texture to load is also taken into consideration.
  • The c5-equipped recon drone now travels at a snail’s pace.
  • It has been included to the AOW lobby screen’s season 1 finish countdown (ending in September)
  • In addition, the Night Bird 70mm rockets launch at a decreased rate of speed.
  • The night bird’s 70mm rocket pods have both their firing rate and replenishment time reduced.
  • When you capture points, a new sound will play.
  • The minimap now shows a green cone directly in front of the player.
  • The crosshair in Wildcat is surrounded by a huge blue box. Tanks have it, too.
  • Wires have been reinserted into the scar.
  • The ability to zoom in on maps and markers
