It’s already safe to assume that 2023 is shaping up to be the year of foldable smartphones! And no, it’s not because our pants are getting smaller and our pockets can’t fit regular-sized phones anymore.

Apparently, these foldable devices are all the rage because they’re like the transformers of the smartphone world. You can fold them up and tuck them away like a tiny burrito, or unfold them into a massive screen for all your binge-watching needs.

Plus, let’s be honest, it’s just satisfying to fold and unfold things. Remember those fortune tellers we used to make out of paper in elementary school? It’s like that, but with a $1000 piece of technology.

While pretty much anybody has heard already about new foldables built by Samsung or Huawei, it’s time to take another major company as seriously as possible when it comes to such beautiful and elegant devices: Vivo.

Vivo X Fold2 appears on AnTuTu with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

MyFixGuide has spotted on Weibo that the Vivo X Fold2 was listed on the AnTuTu benchmark site. The device is said to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset and, judging by some sources, will feature a 2K resolution inner display with a 120Hz refresh rate, ultrasonic under-screen fingerprint scanners, and a 4800mAh dual-cell battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging support. However, there is no information on the official launch date of the device.

Unsurprisingly, the upcoming Vivo X Fold2 will also run on Android 13, meaning the latest version of Google’s operating system for mobile devices. This means that users of the Vivo X Fold2 will have access to the most up-to-date features and improvements available in Android 13, such as improved performance, enhanced privacy features, and an array of new customization options.

Running on the latest version of Android is a significant advantage for the Vivo X Fold2, as it ensures that the device is compatible with the most recent applications and services available for Android. Additionally, it indicates that Vivo is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest mobile technology, which bodes well for the device’s performance and longevity.
