Stranger Things Season 5 Potential Release Date
According to Duffer Brothers, Stranger Things season five will be the final season. There is good and bad news. The good news is that the new season is coming, and the bad news is that we don’t know precisely when.
After the two releases of season four, the team began filming the final episodes, and there was just one gap between seasons three and four.
Also, it was the pandemic at that time, and it took them three years. Season three dropped in July 2019, and season four started in June 2022. Meanwhile, the cast gets older, and they need to be seen as teenagers, so there is a significant probability that the show will get into action in the final season sooner than later.
Here is what the Duffers said in an interview:
We’re going to take a little vacation in July, and then we’re going to come back. I know that the writer’s room is going to start in that first week of August.
Also, they posted some pictures on social media with a whiteboard with notes written down in sections, marking that they were back.

The first season was a big success, and the creators had way too many ideas than needed, and season five will pull a lot of season two ideas.
