Sniper Elite 5 will become available in late May for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5, as well as for PC on Steam, Epic Games, and Windows Store. The game will bring back Karl Fairburne as he needs to teach some manners to Nazis in France.

There’s already a lot of information available about what Sniper Elite 5 will bring, and this time we are free to check out the Marksman trailer. We can see some of the weaponry of the upcoming stealth shooter, and they’re pretty much in accordance with World War II. Nothing too surprising here, considering that all Sniper Elite games had been based on the world’s bloodiest conflict in history.

The famous kill-cam is still there

The kill-cam has become a trademark of the Sniper Elite series, and it will also be present in the fifth major iteration as well. By using it, the player will get to see the bullet in slow motion as it pierces through the brains, lungs, stomachs, hearts, kidneys, or other organs of the enemies.

Behold the new Marksman trailer, which may be more relevant than a thousand words:

According to TrueAchievements.com, here’s what Rebellion CEO Jason Kingsley has to say:

Sniper Elite has always been defined by its authentic gunplay and we wanted to take that to the next level for Sniper Elite 5,

We have concentrated on enhancing the character and feel of our weapons, including the addition of an ‘Ironsights’ perspective for pistols and secondary weapons such as SMGs.

He also continues by saying, as quoted by the same source:

Having conducted thousands of hours of playtests over the course of the franchise, it is clear that everyone plays the game in their own, unique way,

That is why we have developed the new Weapon Customisation system, allowing players to adapt their weapons to best suit the way they play and ensure that everyone enjoys the experience.
