Check out all the cool details below, and get ready for the best Pokemon New Year’s party!

Pokemon Go New Year’s Party: What to Expect?

Niantic has already begun sharing information about its New Year’s event as Part 2 of the Pokemon GO Holiday event approaches. It will also be one of the few occasions when the shiny types of all-event Pokemon appear.

Check out the official announcement on the official Pokemon Go’s Twitter:

Here are all the updates and stuff you’re going to see during the New Year’s special event:

Beginning on December 31 at 8 PM (local time) and continuing until January 4, Wild Pikachu, Hoothoot, and Wurmple will surprise you with funny little party hats. Also, the sky will be full of fireworks, while the New Year’s Hoothoot will be able to turn it into a Noctowl for the first time (you can also keep the party hat).

Featured in the 7km eggs will be the young versions of Togepi, Igglybuff, Elekid, Smoochum, Wynaut, Magby, Azurill, Clefa, Tyrogue, and Pichu, all of which are sporting party hats. How cool is that?!

The likelihood of each of those Pokemon being shiny will grow. There will also be further surprises and bonuses for egg hatching during this occasion. For example, the hatching distance will be shorter for the first three Pokemon put in eggs using the Pokemon GO Widget. All other eggs will come with a 1/2 hatch distance.

Niantic has not specified how much stardust will be awarded for completing the Collection Challenge for this event, but more details will be soon available!
