MAMAMOO Fans Might Boycott ‘WAW’ Online Concert

A recent announcement made by MAMAMOO’s fan union states that fans plan to boycott the upcoming online concert, ‘WAW’. This is the first concert in two years and tickets are already available for purchase starting today from Olleh TV, Seezn and Interpark. The group published teaser photos for the upcoming concert, and their visuals are stunning. The last concert the girl band had was in Daegu two years ago. The date of the concert is on 28 August, and it seems that fans are upset due to a recent decision was taken by RBW Entertainment.

MAMAMOO’s official YouTube channel to merge with RBW Entertainment’s official channel

Fans wrote that they would boycott the concert if the agency decides to move forward with merging the two YouTube channels. They are concerned that due to the merging, the group could lose followers. Currently, the MAMAMOO official YouTube channel has around 6 million followers.

The agency’s official channel has only 111k followers and MAMAMOO fans are concerned this decision will affect the group. The MAMAMOO fan union also mentioned that they are upset because of the lack of promotions for this upcoming concert. Fans are also upset because the teaser photos were released today, 17 August, the same day for the ticket sales opening. The tweet of the fan union was posted on 12 August, and the letter is written also translated into English.

MAMAMOO fans are excited about the online concert

Although the union will boycott the concert if the agency merges the two youtube channels, fans are still excited about the concert. In the letter, it is mentioned that they hope the agency will change the decision and cancel the boycott and attend the concert. The South Korean group formed in 2014 and since then the singers proved they are talented and can sing many different genres, from pop to R & B, latin jazz and even hip-hop.
