Who said that playing 2D games cannot be fun anymore in 2023? Although modern titles such as the latest FIFA, Call of Duty, or Sniper Elite are usually under the spotlight, Eastasiasoft’s ‘LASERPITIUM’ might make many gamers become glued to their consoles. It’s the name for a new 2D shoot ’em up game where you, the player, get to maneuver a spaceship around and take down all of the foes that come at you almost simultaneously.

LASERPITIUM is set in the year 2357, and the player finds himself in a galaxy where a peace and corporation treaty has led to the creation of an autonomous military unit. However, a corrupt government is in control of the military, forcing a group of resistance fighters to battle against the AI program EVA on the planet HELIOS. You’ll get to engage in side-scrolling action across ten thrilling stages, choosing from three different ships with their own playstyles, as you face off against hordes of enemies.

LASERPITIUM is available NOW for consoles

LASERPITIUM, the new 2D game developed by Eastasiasoft, has made its debut on multiple gaming platforms, including the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch, according to The Xbox Hub.

LASERPITIUM offers an exhilarating shoot ’em-up experience where players will go through intense action and dynamic multi-directional stage scrolling. With a choice of three distinct ships, each boasting unique statistics, appearances, and weaponry, players have the chance to tailor their playstyle to suit their preferences.

The LASERPITIUM 2D game provides two challenging campaign modes, Classic and Full, and they allow players to test their skills and push their limits. In LASERPITIUM, you can prepare to navigate through a variety of treacherous terrains, such as caverns, cities, ruins, and tropics, with each of them presenting its own set of obstacles and enemies.
