Google has recently integrated its Bard chatbot with a new AI model known as Gemini. According to the company, Gemini demonstrates superior reasoning abilities compared to ChatGPT and other competitors. This development is not unexpected, considering Google’s longstanding efforts in developing AI capabilities. Despite being surprised by OpenAI’s release of ChatGPT at the end of the previous year, Google collaborated with Microsoft to make its AI skills globally accessible. The introduction of Gemini has the potential to revolutionize the landscape of AI tools.

Discover below the factors that could position Gemini as an exceptional AI tool.

How Different Gemini Would Be?

Eli Collins, the Vice President of Products at Google DeepMind, revealed during a briefing that Gemini is the first AI model to surpass human specialists in specific benchmarks covering problem-solving, mathematics, law, medicine, science, history, and ethics. Moreover, the performance of the “Ultra” variant of Gemini far exceeds that of comparable cutting-edge versions in thirty benchmark tests measuring capacities such as image interpretation and mathematical reasoning.

The presentation showcased Gemini’s ability to recognize various stimuli, including a person reenacting a scene from “The Matrix” and someone sketching and lifting a rubber duck. In addition to making comparisons, drawing inferences, and generating ideas, the AI successfully commented on the visual stimuli. Impressive, isn’t it?

Bard will leverage Gemini to enhance its skills in areas like critical thinking, planning, and object recognition. Bard features a “Pro” edition of Gemini tailored for managing diverse processes, while the “Nano” model, designed for mobile devices, will initially be available on Google’s advanced smartphone, the Pixel 8. The tool will be available in English across more than 170 countries and regions, with additional language support planned for the future.
