Donald Trump Is About To Release A New Social Platform: Here’s What We Know

Ex-president Donald Trump revealed intentions to build a public enterprise that would launch his own long-awaited social network to “start the tyranny of big technology.” Banned from large social media sites, it is said.

Trump’s news release, TRUTH Social, announces the platform, but the viability and many aspects of the company are unknown.

In November, TRUTH Social is anticipated to launch beta with a larger version by 2022. Users interested in the platform can register with truthsocial.com – however, issues over the first website safety have been raised.

The announcement identifies Trump as Chairman of the Trump Media & Technology Group which, subject authorisation and stockholder approval, would be created in conjunction with Digital World Acquisition Corp. The business’s DWAC purchase is a special purpose company that sells its stock to buy private companies and the statement states that it would spend $293 million in the Trump Project.

As per CNBC, stock prices for DWAC rose on Thursday following the news. In December 2020, the Miami business was established.

During the Jan 6 uprising in the U.S. Capitol, Trump was blocked by a pro-Trump crowd from Facebook, Twitter and YouTube as businesses cited a risk of more violence. The profiles of Trump were repeatedly identified to distribute fake information in the 2020 presidential election concerning electoral fraud.

Trump and others have alleged that big technology platforms are trying to stifle conservative voices—although some, such pundit Ben Shapiro, have become very famous due of their social media activity.

TRUTH Social promises that it would promote a worldwide dialogue without discrimination toward political ideology.  Nevertheless, in our judgment, its terms of service prohibit the use of the platform to deny, degrade or otherwise hurt them and/or the Site

A further remaining issue is the function the site may play if Trump chooses to run again in 2024 as president and if it could be a loudspeaker as loud as it can be if he no longer influences Twitter immediately.
