YouTube Allows Content Creators to Fix Their Mistakes Easier Than Before

If you’re not that kind of YouTuber who likes to be self-ironic and wants all his videos to look perfect as he never makes mistakes, we got some good news for you. YouTube is now adding the “corrections” feature to make it a lot easier to correct your mistakes in the videos you publish.

The Verge brings the news and explains to us how it works. Content creators can add more corrections in a easy way. They will appear as info cards in the video at the right timestamp after the footage gets uploaded. Viewers will have the possibility to expand the correction notes to the description of the video.

The YouTube Help page states:

After you upload a video, you can change your video details in YouTube Studio. Change everything from your video’s title to caption and comment settings. Learn how to make bulk changes to videos.

In order to edit video details, you must perform a few simple steps. The first thing you have to do is simply sign in to YouTube Studio. The next step will be to select ‘Content’ from the left menu. Next up, you’ll have to click a title or thumbnail of a video. The final step will be to set the settings of a video and hit ‘Save.’

The official description couldn’t have been easier to understand:

For corrections in your video, add “Correction:” or “Corrections:” then add the timestamp and explanation of your correction. This section should appear after any video chapters. When your audience watches your video, a View Corrections info card will appear.

YouTube has about 800 million videos, which can only mean that there are a lot of content creators out there. Each day, these YouTubers upload about 720,000 hours of content on the platform. You should also keep in mind that YouTube is a more popular search engine than Microsoft’s Bing.
