Abel Tesfaye, known as The Weeknd, said he forgot how to sing after he played in the new HBO series ”The Idol.”

The Most Recent Creation, ”The Idol”

The Idol is an upcoming American drama television series created by Abel Tesfaye, Sam Levinson, and Reza Fahim. The series is set to premiere on May 22, 2023, and is scheduled to air on HBO on June 4, 2023. 

The plot includes a pop idol (Lily-Rose Depp) after a nervous breakdown that causes her last tour to be canceled. She begins a complicated relationship with Tedros (Abel Tesfaye), the head of a contemporary cult and a self-help guru. The two of them are included in the main cast. The first announcement of the series was on June 29, 2021, when the Weeknd said he would create an executive producing and co-writing drama. On November 22, HBO approved the production for a first season consisting of six episodes.

Meanwhile, the Weeknd’s new single release, “Double Fantasy,” will take part in the series’ soundtrack, among others.

Abel declared he forgot how to sing after playing in the series. Also, he cut short a concert in Los Angeles because of this incident.

The star has tried to manage the situation by rescheduling the concert. Announcing that it is tough for him to go from Tedros to The Weeknd, now fans are terrified for his voice not to be lost again. 

In the meantime, a rumor circulates online about Abel’s career as the Weeknd. It seems that he would like to quit this character and start a new area as Abel Tesfaye.
