The ONEXFLY Handheld Console is Set for a Global Release

Who said that Nintendo Switch has to be the only handheld gaming console in town? The guys from One-netbook apply a similar recipe for their new ONEXFLY console. The device runs on the AMD Ryzen 7 7840U processor, which is a strong enough argument to realize that we’re indeed talking about a powerful console. Most laptops on the market have a weaker processor than that.

After announcing new details for the ONEXFLY console in China, One-netbook now offers the device globally, as Notebookcheck reveals. It’s enough to take a short peek at the console’s specs in order to realize that the Chinese firm means business.

ONEXFLY will feature a 120Hz refresh rate

Running your games on a refresh rate of 120Hz is surely something that some of those hardcore gamers out there wouldn’t be too impressed about. But considering that we’re talking only about a handheld console, we think that 120Hz can be enough!

One-netbook’s ONEXFLY is a handheld gaming device that was initially introduced back in September 2022. Initially, the Chinese company had announced that the console would use the powers of AMD Mendocino APUs, such as the Ryzen 5 7520U processor. Mendocino APUs combine Zen 2 CPU cores with iGPUs derived from RDNA 2.

Not surprisingly, One-netbook has changed its approach since AMD Mendocino devices started being shipped. Instead, the ONEXFLY console will sport the Ryzen 7 7840U, which is AMD’s chosen APU for modern gaming handhelds. The Ryzen 7 7840U combines Zen 4 CPU cores with an iGPU known as Radeon 780M, which is based on the RDNA 3 architecture.

The One-netbook ONEFLY gaming console will start selling via Indiegogo, and you should stay tuned if you wish to find out more information regarding the price and the exact release date!

How excited are you about the upcoming ONEXFLY console from One-notebook? Feel free to comment!
