The Galaxy S22 Lineup Has Begun Receiving The August 2022 Security Upgrade

The August 2022 safety update was first made available to the Galaxy S22 series, making it the very first device family in the world to get it. The update was made available around two weeks ago, but the foreign variations of cellphones were the only ones that could use it. One of the several models of the phones has now received the latest security update that was just made available.

What’s new in the security update for the Galaxy S22 for the month of August 2022?

The Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra all have the firmware version S90xU1UEU2AVG8 after receiving the most recent software update. This update is only available for carrier-unlocked versions of these devices.

The update includes the security patch for August 2022, which resolves hundreds of vulnerabilities related to privacy and security. These vulnerabilities include issues with Samsung DeX, Knox VPN, inappropriate access control, and manipulation of the list of applications that may access mobile data. Additionally, it may involve generic problems relating to applications and user interfaces. Additionally, it may bring about an improvement in the device’s stability.

How can I apply the security update for my Galaxy S22 from August 2022?
You should go to Settings > Software update on the unlocked Galaxy S22 range handset in order to download and set up the security update for August 2022. After doing so, you should then hit the Download and install button. There is also the option to manually flash the firmware version that may be downloaded from our database and used in the procedure described above. Nevertheless, before beginning the process of manually updating the firmware, you need to make a backup of your data.

Earlier on in 2018, Samsung introduced the Galaxy S22 series, along with the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 operating system. The line of phones has always had its security kept up to date with new patches released once a month. They have been assured by Samsung that they would get up to five years’ worth of security upgrades in addition to four major Android OS updates.
