Starfield 2022 vs. 2023 Graphics Comparison Video: The Downgrades are Obvious

We’re still months away until Bethesda’s action RPG known as ‘Starfield’ arrives on the gaming scene. Even so, demos were released, and they can make us get a taste of how the game will look and feel.

Starfield will be playable on Xbox Series X/S consoles, as well as on PCs that are powerful enough. The system requirements of the game will definitely take a toll on your hardware components if they match. Otherwise, you’ll need to consider investing some bucks in order to upgrade your components.

Starfield won’t even start on your PC if you don’t have at least 16GB of RAM memory onboard, a CPU such as AMD Ryzen 5 2600X or Intel Core i7-6800K, and a graphics card like AMD Radeon RX 5700 or NVIDIA GeForce 1070 Ti. However, you need to keep in mind that those only represent the minimum system requirements. If you want to enjoy the best of what the upcoming game has to offer, your laptop/desktop PC needs to sport a graphics card such as AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080.

A passionate gamer and YouTuber known as ‘Cycu1’ was kind enough to make a graphics comparison between the 2022 and 2023 demo versions of Starfield, and the result is pretty shocking. There are noticeable downgrades between the two demos, as you can easily conclude for yourself:

The upcoming arrival of the Starfield game was announced even five years ago, during Bethesda’s E3 presentation that took place in 2018. In other words, the devs had and still have a lot of time to make Starfield a great game, and we’ll see the final outcome this year in September when the title launches.

In order to play Starfield on your PC, you also need to make sure that you have 125GB of free space on your storage drive. At the same time, the game won’t work without having at least Windows 10 onboard, but perhaps no hardcore gamer uses Windows 7 or Windows 8 anymore.
