Sonic Origins Has Some Technical Problems, But Sega is Up to Fix Them

Last month, we spoke about the upcoming release of Sonic Origins, a remastered collection of games featuring the iconic hedgehog. The title arrived on June 23, but it also brought along a fair amount of critics from the fans.

According to VGC, the players had been dealing with muffled audio and sound glitches, widescreen boundaries issues, and more. But there is hope from an authorized source that all these problems will go away.

Katie Chrzanowski, who is the Sonic the Hedgehog social media manager, said in a tweet while responding to an upset fan:

Hey! Thanks for the patience! The team’s been listening and is working on fixing a variety of issues right now. We’ll make sure to get some more official messaging out once we have more info for everyone.

Unlike the initial titles, now you can explore those ‘ancient’ Sonic games in high resolution while running Sonic Origins.

Unsurprisingly, Sonic Origins requires at least Windows 10 for those who want to run the title on a PC. Windows 7 doesn’t receive updates anymore from Microsoft since January 2020, and that was a very expected move by anybody.

Sonic Origins is available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, and Windows PC.
