Evolving Pokemon in Pokemon GO usually implies a similar process for all monsters.

However, there is a bunch of Pokemon that are different. One such case is Wurmple, as there are two different evolutionary paths that lead players to Cascoon or Dustox.

You can initially evolve Wurmple into Silcoon or Cascoon for 12 Wurmple Candy.

From that point, you need 50 Candy to evolve Silcoon into Beautifly and Cascoon to Dustox.

A common question is whether or not players can influence Wurmple to evolve into Silcoon or Cascoon, as they can with Eevee.

The bad news is that you can’t force Silcoon or Cascoon for the first Wurmple evolution.

The outcome of the evolution is purely random.
