You may be well-aware of Heracross, the dual-type bug/fighting Pokémon that proved to be a faithful and useful companion for Ash in the anime. Defeating tough opponents such as Gary’s Magmar or a Scizor, Heracross stands out due to its solid and rough armoured skin, but also for its powerful horn that spares no one.
There’s no wonder why you would want a Heracross in your own arsenal of Pokémon while playing Pokémon GO. But unfortunately, Niantic has some bad news for us, according to an article from The Gamer: there’s no more Heracross available to catch in the wild.
Those living in South America, Texas, and Southern Florida are already lacking the opportunity to find Heracross in the wild. The Pokémon will still be appearing in raids and will return to the wild after the end of the Ultra Unlock Part 2 event.
Heracross was introduced in Generation II. It’s not known to evolve from or into another Pokémon, but who knows, maybe possible future Pokémon generations will introduce a relative for it. The Pokémon franchise has always been good at providing surprises for its fans.
However, Heracross is able to Mega Evolve into Mega Heracross when using a Heracronite. Also, judging purely objectively at the Heracross owned by Ash, the Pokémon didn’t seem to need any evolutions. The creature was powerful enough as it was.
Heracross is also able to fly when it unleashes its wings from beneath its carapace. The flying part itself is surprising only because Ash didn’t have many flying Pokémon in his roster.
How about you? What other Pokémon would you use in a battle against a Heracross? Would you like a Heracross in your own roster while playing Pokémon GO? Feel free to tell us in a comment!
