Pfizer Vaccine to Receive Full FDA Approval Triggering a Surge in the Vaccination Rates

This FDA approval requires only three months of trials and two months of data. Because the vaccines do not have full approval yet, many decided not to get the jabs. However, a study suggests that the situation might change as soon as the full approval is complete.

More than 70% of U.S residents received the Covid-19 vaccine

Although the vaccination campaign does not go as fast as originally planned, the remaining 30% or less of unvaccinated individuals could be persuaded to do so once the vaccines receive full FDA authorization. Although there is no confirmed date for the full approval, many expect it to be ready in the following months.

More people to get the jabs after full approval

According to a new survey, three in ten unvaccinated individuals declared that they would get the Covid-19 vaccine if it receives full approval. The data suggested that between 5 to 10 % of unvaccinated people might decide to get the jabs after the FDA rules full approval.

Health providers explain that the Covid-19 vaccines are safe, and only in the U.S more than 300 million doses have been administered already. The FDA full approval will come soon, but the Delta variant has become the dominant strain that needs to be stopped until then. The variant originated in India has a high transmissibility rate, and it is responsible for 93% of Covid-19 infections, according to CDC statistics. To reach herd immunity, it might be necessary for more than 80% of U.S residents to get the Covid-19 vaccines.
