iOS 17 Beta: How to Download It and What Are the Features

The good news is that Apple has released the public beta of iOS 17 to developers. But there’s a catch! This pre-release version may not be ready for use. This is also how people may get their hands on early versions of macOS Sonoma and watchOS 10. Curious about what iOS 17 has to offer?

Apple accidentally granted consumers access to the public beta version of iOS 17 before its scheduled big July release. So, what’s exactly the deal with it? According to AppleInsider, Connor Jewiss and other users discovered that anybody could download the iOS 17 developer beta via the Beta Updates section of Settings, regardless of whether they have the required account.

Although iOS 17 is largely gradual, it does bring several features that users may find useful, such as real-time transcriptions of voicemails, a diary app, smarter autocorrection, and improved sharing options. Features including Safari privacy improvements, desktop widgets, and Game Mode have been added to MacOS Sonoma, while watchOS 10 is a major redesign focused on widgets that can be seen quickly. There is typically no need to test them out immediately.

Note that the initial public betas are the most vulnerable to problems and incompatibilities with third-party apps since they are released before the official release, so be careful. Installing them on critical equipment might lead to issues.

If you don’t rush or anything, it would help to wait until the public beta or the final version arrives this autumn unless you are a developer who wants to start planning app upgrades.

Now, discussing the massive success the WWDC23 would be an understatement. The company’s initial venture into mixed-reality headsets, the Vision Pro, was unveiled alongside a 15-inch MacBook Air. Both the Mac Studio and Mac Pro have been upgraded and now include Apple’s brand-new M2 Ultra processor. It comes as no surprise that the tech giant based in Cupertino has announced major updates across all of its software platforms.
